GutenDisplay Terms of Use

These terms apply to GutenDisplay and its authorization service, provided by Printcent Van Gogh LLC, doing business as Gutenberg Armory. Contact printcentvangogh@gutenbergarmory.com.
Using GutenDisplay
GutenDisplay displays calendar information on a TV and stores a local cache for offline viewing. Its current calendar features are read-only. You are responsible for using calendars and devices you are authorized to access, choosing content appropriate for the screen's viewers, and complying with your calendar provider's terms.
The app is currently a pre-release service. Only use builds supplied through a channel Gutenberg Armory identifies. Features and supported devices may change during testing. Planned integrations are not promises of availability.
Your content and access
You retain your rights in the calendar information you connect. You authorize the processing needed to provide the features you choose, as explained in the Privacy Policy. These terms do not transfer ownership of your calendar content to us.
Only connect information you have the right to display, including information about other people in event descriptions or guest lists. Protect your Google Account, devices, private feed URLs and authorization files. Anyone able to see the TV may see the calendar details displayed on it.
You may not use the service to access other people's accounts without permission, bypass authorization or rate controls, interfere with service operation, or display information unlawfully.
Availability and calendar accuracy
Calendar updates depend on internet access, provider availability, valid authorization and service limits. A cached calendar can be out of date. File imports are snapshots, not ongoing synchronization. Confirm important appointments with the original calendar provider.
We aim to maintain a useful service but do not promise continuous availability, a particular refresh time, or compatibility with every calendar export or device. The current TV app may require manual launch after the TV restarts.
GutenDisplay is currently provided without an app subscription charge. Your device, internet and third-party services may have their own costs. These terms do not authorize charges for a paid subscription or another purchase.
Third-party services and software
Google, Cloudflare, Squarespace, Amazon and calendar-feed providers operate their own services under their respective terms and privacy practices. Gutenberg Armory does not control those services or imply their endorsement of GutenDisplay.
Third-party software included in the app retains its applicable licenses and notices. Nothing in these terms removes rights granted by an applicable open-source license. Our product names, branding and original artwork remain subject to their owners' rights.
Ending access and removing information
You can stop using GutenDisplay at any time. The Delete Data or Disconnect page explains how to remove local calendar data, revoke Google access and request deletion of information we hold. Removing the app does not by itself revoke a Google permission grant or delete original provider calendars.
We may restrict access to the authorization service when necessary to address abuse, security problems, legal obligations or service retirement. Existing local cached display can continue while a source remains on the TV, but fresh downloads or linking may become unavailable.
Disclaimers and your rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, GutenDisplay is provided as available without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We do not exclude responsibilities or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded. Calendar-provider errors, connectivity problems and unauthorized access to a device can affect the information displayed; use appropriate device and account security.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes, with a revised date and notice where required. Changes do not authorize undisclosed new uses of personal information; those require the notices and consent described in the Privacy Policy and applicable rules.
