Mamluk Cavalry Lance

$40.00

Most commonplace in the Syrian and Egyptian armies during the late period, this lance was used in disciplined cavalry units. Based on the artifact on display in the MET, this replica captures the sleek and deadly shock exercises described in the Furūsiyya manuscripts. Being more slender than the rest of our spears, the exterior is reinforced to be slightly stiffer. This keeps it in line with the feeling delivered by a killing thrust from our other spearheads, and actually increases its already remarkable durability.

The Mamluk Cavalry Lance measures 368 mm (14.49 in) from front to back, but from the rattan to tip is 297 mm (11.73 in).
